When my wife and I found out we had matched to our residency programs at the University of Arizona, we were very excited. However, we had no idea if we should rent or buy. We were also extremely unfamiliar with Tucson. We sent a mass email out to many reputable Tucson real estate agents. Joan Phillips immediately replied and thus began many lengthy emails educating us on the Tucson market and helping us determine that we could save more money by buying a home. She did all of this without any commitment or agreement that we would even buy. However, we trusted that she could find us a home even though we had less than a month to do it.
